Job summary

The Collective Network in Northamptonshire is seeking a Tooling Technician to ensure the shop floor always has the right tools, at the right time, to support high‑performance automotive and motorsport production.

You will manage tooling stock, coordinate repairs and replacements, liaise with suppliers and SAP purchasing, and inspect tooling with Zoller equipment to drive efficiency and quality. Experience with tool analysis and geometry inspection is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of machine tooling and CNC machining.
• Experience with tool assembly and measuring equipment.
• Ability to carry out tool geometry inspection; SAP knowledge and solid computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shop floor always has the right tools, at the right time.
• Manage tooling stock and liaise with suppliers and purchasing to reduce costs.
• Coordinate repairs, regrinds and replacements of tooling.
• Assemble and inspect tooling with Zoller equipment.
• Raise purchase requisitions in SAP and work with engineers to solve tooling issues.
• Drive continuous improvements in tooling availability and quality.
