Job summary

Meridian Business Support in Exeter is seeking a Tooling Engineer/Toolmaker with strong CAD interpretation skills to support tooling solutions for customers.

You will work from customer CAD drawings to engineer models for testing and contribute to continuous improvement in production processes.

A engineering degree or HNC with around 4 years of relevant experience is required; ITAR/export controls may apply.

Qualifications

• Read CAD drawings to assist tooling production.
• Experience as Tooling Engineer or Toolmaker essential.
• Engineering degree/HNC or equivalent with 4 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Review CAD drawings from customers to engineer tooling models for testing.
• Drive continuous improvement in production processes to meet customer designs.
• Use production planning and control knowledge to reduce scrap and rework through root cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems with CNC machining, CAD and 3D modelling.
