Job summary

Bristol Industrial is seeking a Tooling Engineer for an Exeter-based role. You will work from customer CAD drawings to engineer tooling models for testing, ensuring continuous improvement in production processes and solving manufacturing issues with CAD/CAE tools.

The ideal candidate has Tooling Engineer or Toolmaker background, CAD experience, and a recognised engineering qualification (degree or HNC) with around 4+ years in engineering. On-site role with a focus on practical tooling solutions.

Qualifications

• Currently have Tooling Engineer or Toolmaker experience.
• Tooling design or CAD experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency with CAE tools for CNC machining, CAD and 3D modelling.

Responsibilities

• Receive CAD drawings from customers and engineer models for testing.
• Drive continuous improvement in production area to meet advanced designs.
• Apply production planning and root-cause analysis to reduce scrap and rework.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems with CNC/CAD/3D modelling.
