Job summary

Probe UK in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our busy, well‑established manufacturing team on a days shift. You will be hands‑on, detail‑driven, and focused on keeping production running at its best.

Please note we are in the Clean Air zone with ample free parking. This permanent role offers a 4 Day Week and paid overtime, with long‑term career stability and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Toolmaker in a pressings/stamping environment.
• Knowledge of press tooling maintenance and repair.
• Skilled in manual machining (milling, turning, grinding).
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, repairing and modifying press tools and tooling.
• Supporting production to minimise downtime.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out precision repairs.
• Tool try-outs, improvements and preventative maintenance.
• Working with engineers and production teams to improve tool performance.
• Ensuring tooling meets quality and safety standards.

Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Smethwick, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Brownhills, Wolverhampton, Wednesfield, Willenhall, Halesowen, Moseley and Minworth

Duties
