Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applicants for a Tool Hire Assistant at our Driffield branch. This full-time role covers Monday–Friday 7.30am–5.00pm and alternate Saturdays 8.00am–12.00pm; you will drive a 3.5t van with a trailer to deliver and collect customer orders.

You’ll build strong customer relationships, support the team with cross-selling, and help maintain tool hire standards and stock across the local network. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in tool hire and delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resources to ensure safe operations.
• Lead by example with regular customer interaction and cross-selling to maximise growth.
• Provide guidance and feedback to colleagues to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
• Deliver and collect customer orders promptly, ensuring accuracy and safe loading/unloading.
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge of tool hire products.
• Maintain tool hire standards consistently.
• Monitor inventory and availability, coordinating with the local network.
