Job summary

Jewson in Edinburgh is hiring a Tool Hire Assistant for our Edinburgh branch. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:00pm, with every other Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm, and requires a full UK driving licence to deliver and collect customer orders using a 3.5 tonne van with trailer.

You’ll build strong customer relationships, support the team to grow through cross-selling, and help maintain inventory, safety, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resources to ensure safe operations.

• Deliver and collect customer orders timely, ensure accuracy and secure loading/unloading per procedures.
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge of tool hire products.
• Maintain tool hire standards at all times.
• Monitor inventory and availability to meet customer needs across the network.
