Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process title and registration documents for all vehicle sales, including new, used, wholesale, and trade-in units.
Submit and monitor DMV paperwork, ensuring timely title transfers and registration.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle purchases and sales, including title status and payoff information.
Verify that all information on documents is correct and complies with regulatory requirements.
Communicate with customers, financial institutions, and state agencies as needed to resolve title issues.
Process lien releases and manage payoff checks.
Maintain knowledge of current DMV rules and procedures in relevant states.
File and organize all title-related documents for auditing and compliance.
Assist with reporting, auditing, and general office duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
1–2 years of title processing experience in an automotive dealership or similar environment strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of DMV systems and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar systems).
