Applications are invited for a Student Administration Assistant (Records) in Student Administration. This is a Fixed Term post until 12 December 2025.
Student Administration Operations is responsible for all central administrative functions involved in the student lifecycle, including Enrolment, Academic Timetabling, Attendance Monitoring, Examinations, and Results. The Student Administration Directorate also contains the Doctoral School, the academic administration of six Academic Schools, Academic Investigations and the Student Services Centre, which provides a central point of contact for students.
The Student Administration Records Assistant will support the administration of a variety of tasks carried out by the Enrolment and Records Team with a focus on supporting the Student Visa Compliance Senior Officer and Manager, to ensure accurate visa records are maintained for those students the University sponsors for their visa. The role involves the methodical and accurate entry of data and excellent attention to detail when handling visa and passport related documentation.
Candidates for this post should have excellent IT skills, an ability to manage several tasks at the same time and can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to working in Higher Education Administration. In addition, candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service via email and phone to students, departmental administrators and academic staff and colleagues in Professional Services. They should also be committed to contributing to the continual development and provision of a high-quality service to students and staff.
The role-holder will work closely with other colleagues in the enrolment and records team, as well as colleagues from other Professional Services areas, to ensure that a well-coordinated service is provided to students in relation to Student Record Changes. The role enables the post holder to gain experience of a full range of activities within Student Administration, whilst taking specific responsibility for an area of work.
