Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a new-build housing project in the Kendal area. The role focuses on coordinating trades, monitoring progress and quality, and delivering works safely to high standards.

The ideal candidate has timber-frame experience, strong knowledge of residential construction, and a proactive approach to site management. SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid are required, with references on a timber-frame project preferred.

Qualifications

• Assistant Site Manager with proven experience in new-build housing.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction.
• Timber-frame experience desirable.
• Experience on high-specification developments.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to site management and problem solving.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid required.
• Recent references on a newbuild housing project (ideally timber frame).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trades and subcontractors on site.
• Monitor progress and quality of works.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to required standards.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and project team.
• Maintain good site organisation and proactive problem solving.
