Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Lancaster is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a high-specification new-build housing project. You will support the Site Manager, coordinating trades and monitoring progress to ensure safe, quality delivery.

Timber-frame experience is highly desirable, with a proactive approach to problem solving and a strong focus on health & safety. A background in residential construction and excellent organisation are essential for this role.

Summary

ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER | LANCASTER | NEW-BUILD HOUSING

We're currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a new-build housing project in the Lancaster area.

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager with a strong background in residential construction, particularly someone with timber-frame experience and an interest in working on a high-specification housing development.

Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, the successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the site, helping to coordinate trades and subcontractors, monitor progress and quality, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

We're looking for:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager within new-build housing
• Strong knowledge of residential construction
• Previous timber-frame experience is highly desirable
• Experience working on high-specification developments
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• Ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach to site management and problem solving
• A good understanding of health & safety requirements
