Build Recruitment is recruiting a Tiler & Finisher for a permanent role in Bedford, offering a salary of £34,000–£37,000 per year. You will work on a planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programme, tiling, finishing and snagging across residential properties, in occupied homes with professional tenant communication.

Experience in tiling and finishing, with social housing familiarity, is preferred. The position includes a company van, fuel card, and optional overtime to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience in tiling and finishing works within refurbishment projects.
• Background in snagging or general refurbishment is beneficial.
• Experience working in social housing or planned refurbishment programmes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out wall and floor tiling as part of planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.
• Preparing surfaces and ensuring they are suitable for tiling, including measuring, leveling and applying adhesives.
• Completing grouting, silicone sealing, edging and finishing to achieve a professional, high-quality result.
• Undertaking snagging and remedial works, identifying defects and ensuring all work is completed to the required standard.
• Completing minor making-good and finishing tasks associated with kitchen and bathroom installations.
• Inspecting completed work and ensuring properties are left clean, tidy and ready for use.
• Working in occupied homes, communicating professionally with tenants and treating their properties with respect.

Build Recruitment is currently working with a Housing Association to recruit an experienced Tiler & Finisher to join their Planned Works team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a permanent position, competitive salary and the benefit of a company van and fuel card.

You will be working on a planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programme, carrying out tiling, finishing and snagging works across residential properties. We are keen to hear from experienced tilers, finishers and multi-trade operatives who take pride in their workmanship and can deliver a high-quality service to residents.

Previous experience in social housing is beneficial, but candidates with relevant domestic or refurbishment experience are encouraged to apply.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Carrying out wall and floor tiling as part of planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.

• Preparing surfaces and ensuring they are suitable for tiling, including measuring, levelling and applying adhesives.
