Job summary

Stonetech Recruitment is seeking a skilled TIG Welder for a reputable Suffolk-based manufacturer. The role requires welding on stainless and carbon steel to high standards and interpreting detailed engineering drawings. Immediate starts are available for the right candidates.

You will work full-time day shifts with opportunities for overtime and a temporary to permanent contract. A strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork is essential, with the ability to work independently when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in TIG welding within a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Able to read engineering drawings accurately.
• High attention to detail and pride in quality welds.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.
• Fabrication experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel and other metals.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Prepare materials, tack, weld and finish components to a high standard.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work effectively as part of a skilled production team to meet production deadlines.
