Job summary

Insignis in Wellingborough is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing business producing high-precision Coriolis flow meters. You will start on day shift for training and welding coding before moving to the backshift.

Training shifts: Mon-Thu 07:00-16:15, Fri 07:00-12:00. Backshift: Mon-Thu 15:30-00:30, Fri 11:30-17:30, with a 20% shift premium on backshift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding stainless steel to a high standard.
• Experience with welder coding to EN287-1, ASME IX and/or PED.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Desirable: Experience with 316, Duplex or Super Duplex, MIG welding, automated lathes or turntables, and a recognised engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld stainless steel to a high standard.
• Work from drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Carry out pressure testing, helium leak testing and bead blasting.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area tidy.
• Support inspections, continuous improvement and other production activities.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Salary: £37,000 + 20% shift premium

Job Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing business in Wellingborough, working on the production of high-precision Coriolis flow meters.

The successful candidate will initially work days while completing training and welding coding before moving onto the backshift.

Day shift during training:

Monday-Thursday: 07:00-16:15

Friday: 07:00-12:00Backshift:

Monday-Thursday: 15:30-00:30

Friday: 11:30-17:30The 20% shift premium will apply once you move onto the backshift.
