Job summary

Insignis in Wellingborough is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing team producing high-precision Coriolis flow meters. You will weld stainless steel to tight tolerances, reading drawings and work instructions, and work from engineering specs.

Initially days during training with welding coding before moving onto backshift. The backshift adds a 20% premium and shifts run Monday-Thursday and Friday partials. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding stainless steel to a high standard.
• Experience with welder coding to EN287-1, ASME IX and/or PED.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Desirable: Experience with 316, Duplex or Super Duplex, MIG welding, automated lathes or turntables, and a recognised engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld stainless steel to a high standard.
• Work from drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Carry out pressure testing, helium leak testing and bead blasting.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area tidy.
• Support inspections, continuous improvement and other production activities.

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire Salary: £37,000 + 20% shift premium Job Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing business in Wellingborough, working on the production of high-precision Coriolis flow meters.

The successful candidate will initially work days while completing training and welding coding before moving onto the backshift.

Day shift during training: Monday-Thursday: 07:00-16:15 Friday: 07:00-12:00

Backshift: Monday-Thursday: 15:30-00:30 Friday: 11:30-17:30 The 20% shift premium will apply once you move onto the backshift.
