Job summary

We here at Siamo Recruitment are working with a thriving engineering firm within the heart of The Cotswolds. Just on the outskirts of Cirencester our client is looking to onboard an additional TIG Welder to their growing team.

Starting salary of £35,815.00 (£17.66 per hour) and a Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-12:30pm schedule. The role includes enhanced overtime, generous annual leave, a company pension, healthcare, training, and sick pay to support your continued development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication across a variety of projects.
• TIG welding experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work additional hours.
• Willingness to undertake site work and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Setting up and operating TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Welding materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, titanium, and other alloys.
• Preparing materials by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting components before welding.
• Inspecting completed welds for defects using visual inspection and measuring equipment
• Repairing faulty welds and carrying out rework where necessary.
• Maintaining welding equipment and performing routine maintenance checks.
• Recording production and quality documentation accurately.
