Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking an experienced Plater for a long-term role in Middlesbrough. You will fabricate and plate components, perform tack welding, and interpret engineering drawings to meet exacting standards, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Working hours are Day shift 07:30–16:00 or Early shift 06:00–14:00 with overtime available; pay rates of £21.67 and £25.14 per hour respectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Plater.
• Ability to tack weld to a high standard.
• TIG welding experience is essential.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable with a positive attitude towards teamwork and safety.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and plating work in line with engineering specifications.
• Tack welding and fitting components prior to final welding.
• Working from technical drawings and plans.
• Ensuring all work is completed to required quality and safety standards.
• Supporting production targets while maintaining high workmanship standards.
