Job summary

Wec Group Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a dynamic engineering team and progress within a rapidly expanding firm.

The role requires time-served fabrication experience with MIG and TIG welding, the ability to fabricate from drawings, and welding 1mm to 12mm stainless steel. Permanent position with growth opportunities and bonus schemes.

Qualifications

• Time served fabricator with proven trade skills.
• Experience MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Capable of fabricating from engineering drawings.
• Able to weld 1mm to 12mm stainless steel.
• Experience operating related engineering plant and machinery.
• Work on own initiative.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding and fabrication to technical drawings.
• Operate associated fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain quality standards and workplace housekeeping.
• Assist with project progression on unique engineering projects.

Job description

Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday (8am-5pm) and Friday (8am-2pm)
Reporting To: Shop Floor Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Time served fabricator
• Ideally able to MIG and TIG weld to a high standard
• Ability to fabricate and work from engineering drawings
• Ability to weld all material types and thicknesses (must be able to weld from 1mm up to 12mm stainless steel)
• Experience operating related engineering plant and machinery
• Work on own initiative
• Reliable and punctual
