NOTE Windsor Ltd. in Windsor is seeking a Through-Hole Soldering Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team. You will receive full training and become part of a friendly, supportive production environment while handling through-hole and hand soldering tasks.

Work pattern is Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:00pm and Friday 7:30am–12:30pm, with an early finish on Fridays. The role offers a stable career path within a growing contract electronics manufacturer and a positive team culture.

Job role and scope

Reporting to the Through Hole Supervisor you will be part of a team of technicians & solderers who will be responsible for all aspects of conventional Through Hole soldering and assembly. On occasion you will be required to support other activities within production including inspection. Candidates must be able to demonstrate soldering aptitude through our trade test and if successful will achieve high levels of output & quality in equal measure. Excellent tactile proficiency with small components will be essential.

Main responsibilities

• Hand soldering
• Kit preparation
• Continually monitor the process to ensure perfect quality and productivity
• Read and interpret Drawings, Diagrams and Bills of Materials
• Maintain high housekeeping standards
• Basic computer skills (using our QL system to barcode work from the department)

Remuneration package

Salary Up to £25,500 pa (dependent on skills & experience)

Working hours

Full time is 37 hours per week

Mon to Thurs 07:30 to 16:00 and Fri 07:30 to 12;30

Holiday

25 days plus Bank Holidays (includes Christmas shutdown)

Long service

Plus, up to 5 days for long service
