JAM Recruitment Ltd is assisting a major automotive manufacturer in recruiting a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for a three-shift pattern at its state-of-the-art site in Telford. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across high-volume production lines, requiring a full toolbox in mechanical and electrical fault-finding, root-cause analysis and rapid breakdown response.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance engineer with experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and rapid breakdown response.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
• Carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain throughput.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and perform repair work.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and restore production to meet targets.
• Conduct routine inspections and record maintenance activity accurately.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise equipment performance.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies.
