Job summary

CV Technical is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias) for a busy manufacturing site in Knowsley. The role covers 60/40 or 70/30 maintenance work, with hands-on responsibility for maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a wide range of machinery.

You will join the engineering team under the Engineering Manager, contributing to reduced downtime and continuous operation on a 3-shift pattern (6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical background with multi-skilled capability.
• Injection moulding experience highly advantageous.
• Ideally NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of heater systems.
• Work on machine safety systems.
• Fault-finding on single and 3-phase motors.
• Maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Reactive and planned maintenance across plastic injection moulding machinery.
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime.
• Occasional weekend call-out (1 in 5).
