Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manual Turner / Threadmill Operator to run threadmill machines, deburr components and inspect finished parts for quality. You will follow SOPs, maintain equipment and ensure strict safety and process controls.

A time-served apprenticeship and knowledge of drawings are essential, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and team training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship in manufacture, NC / HMC level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing drawings and processes.
• Strong numeracy/mathematical skills are essential.
• Qualified in material removal in turning, cylindrical grinding, milling.
• Must be capable of operating manual machinery including jib cranes.

Responsibilities

• Operate all Threadmill machines and any future machinery.
• De-burr screwsets and match idlers and rotors.
• Review and update setups and working methods / procedures including SOPs.
• Learn / Operate various manual machinery (drill, mill, broach) to give flexibility.
• Quality assurance inspection of parts according to drawings and requirements.
• Maintain efficiency records of equipment.
• Perform safety and housekeeping tasks.
• Perform all machine set up duties.
• Maintain machines daily and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Participate in EHS activities including Risk assessments within manufacture.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities to drive improvements.
• Training – will be required to be involved in further training and to provide training to peers and apprentices.
• Implement and improve the company’s Quality system.
