Job summary

BDO UK is seeking an experienced Third Party Assurance Assistant Manager within our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team. You will lead defined engagements, manage planning and delivery, and support junior colleagues while ensuring high-quality assurance across diverse clients.

The role balances management activities with hands-on audits, offering agile working and opportunities for development within a collaborative environment across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality Third Party Assurance engagements for a range of clients.
• Knowledge of ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402 and ISRS 4400 desirable.
• Experience in risk management and controls testing across different client environments.
• Recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Organisational and time management skills to manage multiple assignments and small portfolios.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and support junior team development, with openness to AI-enabled audit techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead defined engagements or workstreams and oversee delivery to BDO standards.
• Support engagement planning, portfolio oversight and project management.
• Lead audits and undertake specialist assignments as needed.
• Develop and coach junior team members to build capabilities.
