Job summary

Bright Horizons Farnham Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a Third in Charge to lead and inspire a team delivering exceptional care and education for children in Farnham. You will ensure safeguarding, health, and safety, while building strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.

The role requires a Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification, plus experience in an Early Years setting.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (ideally as Third in Charge, Room Leader or Early Years Educator).
• Confident decision maker with leadership experience supporting others.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection requirements.
• Ability to build trust with colleagues and parents/caregivers and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding across the nursery.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required and support occupancy and locality partnerships.
