Job summary

Kids Planet Farnham is seeking a Third in Charge on a fixed-term maternity leave to support nursery operations and provide high-quality care in line with EYFS.

You will help lead teams, build strong relationships with children and families, and drive a nurturing, inclusive setting.

The role offers training via KP Academy, wellbeing and staff rewards, and a supportive central team to ensure excellence in early years education.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 UK Early Years qualification and strong EYFS understanding.
• Extensive safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child welfare.
• Experience leading nursery teams and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams to maintain a positive, collaborative environment.

How you’ll make a difference as a Third in Charge:

• By supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality care in line with the EYFS.
• By assisting in leading and supporting teams, helping to maintain a positive, collaborative, and professional environment.
• Through building and maintaining strong relationships with children and families, supporting their development and wellbeing while contributing to a nurturing and inclusive setting.

What a Third in Charge needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Leadership experience within a nursery setting.
