Job summary

Bright Horizons Winchester Day Nursery is seeking a Third in Charge to lead and support a caring team in delivering high-quality early years education in Winchester. You will promote welfare, health and safety, maintaining safeguarding standards and building strong partnerships with parents and colleagues.

The role requires a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and prior leadership experience in an EY setting. DBS checks and safeguarding knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous EY setting experience at leadership level (Third in Charge/Room Leader or similar).
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver outstanding care and education.
• Maintain child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding standards.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required and liaise with Local Authority.

You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
