Job summary

Bright Horizons Kings Hill is seeking a Third in Charge to lead and mentor our nursery team in West Malling. You will ensure high standards of care, welfare and safeguarding while building strong partnerships with families and colleagues.

The role requires Level 3+ Early Years qualifications and prior leadership experience in a similar setting. DBS required; inclusive employer offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years setting – Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator.
• Confident decision maker with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety and safeguarding across the nursery.
• Maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and professionals.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and engage with Local Authority when needed.

You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
