Job summary

Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a Third in Charge to lead and inspire a dedicated early years team. You will promote child welfare, health and safeguarding, working closely with parents and professionals to meet each child’s needs.

The role requires Level 3+ Early Years qualifications, experience in an Early Years setting, and the ability to mentor others. Safer recruitment and enhanced DBS checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher.
• Experience in leadership or senior role in an Early Years setting preferred.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and compliance with child-protection regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safeguarding across the nursery.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required and engage with Local Authority as needed.

You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
