Job summary

The Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Therapy Support Worker to join the Integrated Rehabilitation Therapy Team at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

The role is generic, spanning Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, with Band 4 level responsibilities and a focus on developing competencies through in-service training and joint work with experienced therapists and support workers.

Qualifications

• Good general education to GCSE or equivalent.
• English Language or IELTS qualification.
• Theoretical and practical training to NVQ 3 level or relevant experience.
• Evidence of recent study (Anatomy and Physiology, Access to Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy course).

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and discharge planning of patients under your care.
• Assist interpretation of information, identify problems and set realistic goals.
• Travel to different locations to facilitate hospital discharges.
• Work within an MDT with OTs, PTs and support workers.
• Develop clinical and interpersonal skills with regular supervision.
