Job summary

DCHS Swadlincote is seeking a compassionate Therapy Support Worker to join the Community Therapy Team. You will support rehabilitation programmes and help patients maintain independence in their homes.

Part-time role, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 7-day service rota. Salary £25,760-£27,476 pro rata per year. Apprenticeship opportunities available for career progression within the team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level III in care or equivalent qualification.
• Additional training in rehabilitation, palliative care, care of the older person.
• Experience in a health, social care or community setting.
• Willing to undertake training and develop competencies.

Responsibilities

• Support rehabilitation programmes prescribed by registered therapists.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility and activities of daily living.
• Provide, fit and monitor therapeutic equipment and aids.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the relevant healthcare professional.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to patient reviews.
• Promote patient independence, wellbeing and recovery.
