New Forest Edge is an outstanding, small independent school working with vulnerable students with ASD and other needs. We seek energetic Teaching Assistants to support both academic and emotional progress in small groups.

Successful applicants will join a dedicated team across Sandown and Newport, with a £750 welcome bonus paid in the first months' salary, and a commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.

Competenze

• Form relationships with young people to support academic and emotional progress.
• Maintain punctuality, good attendance and professional dress.
• Safeguard and follow school policies for child welfare.
• Support students with following behaviour plans and strategies.
• Communicate effectively with SLT, staff, parents and external agencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate student records promptly.
• Use initiative and creativity to solve problems.

Mansioni

• Work in small classes (~4 students) providing emotional and academic support.
• Break down learning, apply strategies and therapeutic techniques.
• Support students at Sandown & Newport sites and participate in induction and training.
• Help ensure safeguarding and health and safety compliance.
