Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant for Salford Royal Hospital. You will support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in assessing, planning and delivering treatment programmes while handling admin duties to keep the department running efficiently.

The role involves working within an MDT, writing patient notes, and coordinating referrals. Weekend shifts are typically one per month, with opportunities to develop within a large NHS trust focused on

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a healthcare related topic is advantageous.
• Experience in healthcare settings is desirable or transferable skills will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment, treatment planning and therapy sessions for patients with varied needs.
• Carry out administrative tasks such as patient bookings, stock management, equipment cleaning and class preparation.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and write patient notes, emails and record conversations.
• Facilitate onward referrals for patients being discharged.
• Communicate with colleagues, MDT staff, patients and carers.
