Job summary

Priory Hospital Altrincham is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join the Allied Health Professionals and Psychology department on a bank basis. The role involves supporting care and therapy planning, assisting with tests, exercises and therapeutic activities under supervision.

You will help deliver group and one-to-one activities, support new client orientation, maintain records and contribute to service improvements.

• Previous experience working within a relevant healthcare environment.

• Support senior staff with care and therapy planning, including tests, exercises, examinations and therapeutic activities under supervision.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of group and one-to-one occupational, therapeutic and recreational activities, observing and reporting client responses to the relevant clinician.
• Support reception, orientation and induction of new clients, ensure they feel comfortable, understand the environment and are aware of emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and information systems, contribute to audits and research, and support regional management and the Therapy Lead in developing services.

Priory Hospital Altrincham has an opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join the team on a bank basis

Priory Hospital Altrincham, Hale, Cheshire provides inpatient and outpatient treatment for a range of mental health conditions and addictions, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, OCD, phobias, PTSD and bipolar disorder. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Rappax Road and Altrincham railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital.
