THERAPY ASSISTANT - Leighton Hospital : Rehabilitation and Inpatient wards

BAND 3 - 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our supportive and friendly therapy team at Leighton Hospital. This role will be divided equally between the two areas.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Therapy Assistant to work within the therapy team.

You will collaborate with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. We offer support, training, and development opportunities.

The role involves supporting qualified Therapists with implementing treatment plans and interventions for patients on the wards. Responsibilities include gathering information from patients or families, following treatment plans under supervision, and providing education and practice in activities of daily living and mobility. The role also requires assisting with moving and handling of patients using appropriate equipment.

Administrative duties include photocopying, filing, maintaining admission information, and completing computer-based statistics. You will also need to write in medical notes.

Upon starting, you will receive a full induction. We provide regular supervision, set individual objectives, and promote self-reflection and development. All staff are given equal opportunities to undertake CPD to support their roles.

Service development and innovation are encouraged, alongside participation in audit and research. We offer a flexible working environment and paid annual leave entitlement.
