Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a qualified clinician to join a multi-disciplinary team across 2x CSE homes, 4-days-per-week. You will assess mental health, develop personalised care plans, and provide counselling within therapeutic living and learning environments. DBS check required and supportive career development is offered.

You’ll collaborate with educational and residential staff, building rapport to deliver meaningful progress for young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional (or accredited Counsellor) with eligibility for membership of a professional body (e.g., BACP).
• Knowledge of child development and ability to connect with young people.
• Highly organized and proactive with honesty and empathy as core values.

Responsibilities

This role is based at across 2x of our CSE children‘s homes, 4-days-per-week. Knowledge of sexual trauma including CSE would be desirable.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise andbreadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. You’ll also be assessing our young people’s mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key, by doing this you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.
