Job summary

Witherslack Group in Tees Valley is seeking a qualified clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team at CSE children's homes. You will assess young people’s mental health, develop personalised care plans, and deliver focused counselling while building rapport with residents and collaborating with education and residential staff.

The role runs across two children’s homes, four days per week, with a generous salary of £43,453–£52,493 and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for membership of BACP or similar professional body (desirable)
  • Good understanding of child development and connecting with young people
  • Highly organised and proactive
  • Honesty and empathy are essential

Responsibilities

  • Support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
  • Assess young people's mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan.
  • Build rapport to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team with supervision and clinical development opportunities.

This role is based at across 2x of our CSE children's homes, 4-days-per-week. Knowledge of sexual trauma including CSE would be desirable.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. You’ll also be assessing our young people’s mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key, by doing this you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.
