Job summary

Witherslack Group at Cumberland School in Lancashire is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will support pupils with complex needs, delivering targeted interventions and working within living and learning environments.

The role requires HCPC registration and a passion for improving communication and development. You will benefit from induction, a robust clinical development programme, and generous holiday provisions, including school

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Specialist with proven skills to engage and deliver interventions for children with complex needs.

Cumberland School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in Rivington, Lancashire, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and co-existing ADHD, speech, language and communication difficulties and attachment disorders.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise andbreadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.

Here’s a few things we’ll need from you:

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
