Job summary

The Council is seeking a Therapeutic Support Worker – Children for a permanent social care role in Devon. Salary ranges from £28,000 to £35,000 per annum for full-time work, with additional sleep allowance up to £70 per shift in some cases, located in Dartington.

We require passion for working with children and young people, including those with traumatic backgrounds, learning disabilities, or mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, or challenging behaviours.
• Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to complete).
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and overnight stays.
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to children and young people with diverse needs.
• Support learning and social development in SEN/community settings.
• Work flexible shifts, including overnights.
