Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist children and young people in Dartington, Devon. You will work with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs or behaviours that challenge, drawing on experience from SEN education, youth work, or fostering environments.

The role includes shifts, weekends and overnight stays, and a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential for a mobile schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young adults with learning disabilities, mental health, or behaviours that challenge.
• Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to complete).
• Ability to complete shifts patterns, weekends, and overnight stays.
• Driving licence and vehicle – Essential

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people in care settings.
• Engage with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health, or challenging behaviours to promote wellbeing.
• Adapt to shift patterns including weekends and overnight stays.

I am looking for passionate Support Workers with experience working with Children and/or Young Adults with either traumatic backgrounds, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health or Challenging Behaviours.If you have experience with children and young people in SEN education, youth work, young offenders or fostering, a career in children's homes is for you.
