Job summary

Greenleaf Hawick is seeking a Registered Manager for a residential children’s home. You will oversee childcare practitioners, drive high standards of care, and manage data, records and outcomes to improve lives of young people.

Role requires SVQ 4 & HNC in Social Care (or equivalent) and supervisory experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, with flexible hours and overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a residential children’s home.
• Experience supervising or managing a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• UK driving licence and willingness to drive.
• Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of childcare practitioners and promote high standards of care.
• Lead implementation to improve quality of care and life for young people.
• Ensure proper record-keeping, data analysis and outcome measures.
• Manage budgets and ensure prudent spendings.
• Engage with Care Inspectorate and local community.
• Support practitioners with ongoing development and reviews.
• Contribute to young people’s reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Maintain flexible, responsive leadership to service needs.
