Derbyshire County Council invites applications for a Residential Children's Worker at Hillview Children’s Home in Chinley. You will support up to four Derbyshire children aged 8–18, providing day-to-day practical, educational and social support within a small, person-centred team.

The role requires openness to relationship-focused and psychologically informed practice. You may need Level 3 Diploma or NVQ3 and will work shifts including sleep-ins, with enhanced rates for evenings, nights and bank

Qualificações

• Must hold, be working towards, or undertake Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma or NVQ3.
• Experience in residential care or working with children/adolescents preferable.
• Understanding of Children and Young People Act, quality care standards and CQC regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily support and guidance to children in a residential setting.
• Deliver educational and social activities in a person-centred, trauma-informed framework.
• Work as part of a small team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintain safeguarding and promote welfare of children in line with policy.
