Job summary

Reed Education in Esher, Surrey is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils 7–17 with SEMH needs in a specialist, trauma-informed setting. This role focuses on small groups, 1:1 support and personalised interventions to help learners make real progress.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to deliver a broad, differentiated curriculum and promote positive behaviour, safeguarding, and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH or SEND needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Works well independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality classroom, small group and 1:1 learning support.
• Support pupils with personalised learning plans and targets.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and engagement.
• Deliver a broad, differentiated curriculum with teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour and safeguarding practices.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to wellbeing.
