Job summary

Glenholme Children’s Home is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to lead day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Working with the Registered Manager, you will support staff, develop care planning, oversee risk management and contribute to reopening after refurbishment. A rewarding role in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential childcare settings.
• Experience in supervisory/managerial roles.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and anti-oppressive practice.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of Glenholme Children’s Home.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding practice.
• Supervise staff and promote reflective, trauma-informed practice.
• Ensure high-quality, consistent and therapeutic care for children.
• Support recruitment, induction, training and development of staff.
• Assist with budget management and partnership working with families.
