Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Activity Coordinator to join the Inpatient CAMHS Occupational Therapy team. You will plan and deliver therapeutic and recreational activities to support recovery, confidence, independence and social connection for young people.

You will work with Occupational Therapists and the wider MDT to create a positive, recovery-focused ward environment and help individuals develop daily living skills and meaningful routines as part of their care pathway.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or Equivalent.
• Experience of working with individuals in a mental health setting, particularly with children or young people.
• Desirable: experience facilitating activity sessions or group interventions in a mental health setting or inpatient CAMHS.
• Desirable: ability to maintain professional boundaries and form positive therapeutic relationships with young people and their carers.
• Ability to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate strong organisational skills to facilitate activity programmes.

Responsibilities

• Promote engagement in meaningful occupations that support recovery.
• Support young people to develop confidence, resilience, independence, and social skills.
