Job summary

CIH International Housing Group is seeking a Residential Practitioner in Oldham to support a young person with complex needs in a new solo children's home. You will work 40 hours weekly on a 2-on, 4-off rota, with sleeps included in the salary.

The role focuses on a therapeutic model (DDP & PACE) with 1:1 care, safeguarding, and accurate record-keeping. You will collaborate with a small team to create a stable, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in care, education, or support settings.
• Calm, consistent, reliable approach is essential to daily routines.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Support the young person in day-to-day routines and activities
• Help create a safe, stable, and structured home environment
• Promote independence and positive behaviours
• Respond to emotional and behavioural needs in a calm and consistent way
