Job summary

Theatr Clwyd is seeking a Venue Technician for William Aston Hall on a fixed-term contract. The role involves providing technical support, assisting with get-ins, rigging, flying, lighting, and sound, and ensuring safety compliance.

25 hours per week, with responsibilities across day-to-day maintenance and event setup. The successful candidate will have practical venue experience, strong CAD/technical plan literacy, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in venue or theatre technical department or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to read and understand technical plans and CAD.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements in theatre spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to all users of the venue.
• Cover technical aspects during performances as required.
• Set up equipment for get-ins, rigging, lighting, sound and AV.
• Maintain day-to-day site safety and equipment checks.
• Open/close backstage areas and manage access.
