Job summary

Wyvern Theatre in Swindon is seeking a Technician to join the technical team, assisting with preparation, setup and operations for a wide range of productions. You will also assist with routine venue maintenance and safety compliance.

Key duties include get-ins/get-outs, moving scenery and equipment, and working with lighting, sound, wardrobe, AV, rigging and special effects to support visiting producers and artists while prioritising health and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of technical theatre/theatre craft from an accredited institute.
• Understanding of DMX, ETC EOS, QLAB and digital sound decks.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support with the get ins, preparation, running, pack down and get outs of shows and events.
• Move scenery and equipment during productions and work with lighting, sound, wardrobe, AV, rigging and special effects.
• Maintain Health and Safety procedures and Fire Safety measures.
• Collaborate with visiting producers and artists to promote good customer relations.
• Attend all required training.
