Qualifications

• Extensive management experience within Sterile Services, theatres or comparable environments.
• Professional qualifications such as IDSc, RGN Theatres or ODP.
• Knowledge and experience implementing ISO standards and decontamination requirements.
• Proven experience leading teams, quality improvement, change management and service development.
• Strong strategic, communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trust-wide provision and management of decontamination services.
• Provide day-to-day operational management and leadership of the TSSU.
• Ensure compliance with national decontamination standards, regulations and Trust policies.
• Lead clinical governance, quality assurance, audit and risk management across services.
• Provide specialist decontamination advice to senior leaders and clinical teams.
• Manage staffing, resources, procurement, budgets and service performance effectively.
• Lead service improvement, transformation and implementation of the Trust’s decontamination strategy.
