Job summary

Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital is seeking a Sterile Services Operational Manager to oversee the organisation-wide decontamination of surgical instruments, endoscopes and medical devices. The role will be based on-site at HA7 4LP and involves day-to-day management of the Theatre Sterile Services Unit.

The post is a temporary 3–6 month contract with potential extension or permanency for the right candidate; the rate is negotiable depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive management experience in Sterile Services or theatre environments.
• Experience in leading and developing teams.
• Experience in change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead organisation-wide decontamination of surgical instruments, endoscopes and medical devices.
• Manage the daily operations of the Theatre Sterile Services Unit (TSSU).
• Act as the Trust's Decontamination Lead and provide strategic guidance on decontamination issues.
• Prepare business cases, SLAs and funding bids; participate in relevant committees.
