Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Oxford seeks a Sterile Services Deputy Manager (Band 5) to coordinate decontamination of medical devices and ensure a high quality, timely service to operating theatres.

You will supervise staff, develop SOPs, monitor quality, and contribute to safety and training within a permanent full-time role based at John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical device decontamination.
• Experience of supervision and training of a decontamination team.
• Experience of ISO audit and Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee managerial tasks of the decontamination department and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures and departmental policies.
• Supervise, record and analyse production activity and stock levels.
• Maintain safety, security and handling of equipment and chemicals in line with policy.
• Train staff and participate in CPD and competency assessments.
