Job summary

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is seeking a part-time HSSU Coordinator to move and handle trays, process used surgical instruments, and support the theatre team. The role involves receiving sterile equipment, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes
• Process used surgical instruments for dispatch
• Receive sterile surgical equipment
• Support the theatre team
• Maintain accurate records and up-to-date documentation
• Dispose of contaminated waste in line with hospital policy
• Check equipment is in good working order and report faults
• Keep the working environment clean and tidy
• Rectify problems and escalate issues where necessary
